About the event

The Oxford Festival Orchestra - with the help of former professional musicians from the ENO and the LPO, not to mention returning student performers from the Royal College of Music and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire - are thrilled to bring you another awesome programme of Weber, Rachmaninov, and Dvorak in this chairtable concert for the Association Nouvelle Chance. Join us as we navigate the twists and turns of Weber's Freischutz Overture (featuring one of the most explosive chords in all of classsical music); the luscious romanticism of Rachmaninoff's First Piano Concerto, replete with the sounds of early Hollywood film music; and the iconic masterwork that is Dvorak's Ninth Symphony.

This, much like our last concert of Bruckner's Fifth Symphony, will truly be a night to remember.

All surplus proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Association Nouvelle Chance to help with the programmes supporting the personal development of refugee children.
