🌦️ Even the Clouds Couldn’t Stop the Light 🌿 Day of Rest

With rain in the forecast and hope in our hearts, something truly special happened.

Over 100 people - refugee families, most of them single mothers with children - came together for a moment of calm, connection, and community during our Day of Rest, organised by Association Nouvelle Chance and led with love by Danuta Kruk.

And while the skies stayed grey, not a single drop of rain fell. Instead, the day was filled with laughter, warmth, and overwhelming gratitude.

Children ran and played freely.

Parents rested, talked, and felt understood.

And so many shared, quietly or aloud, how much it meant just to be there - seen, welcomed, and cared for.

You gave families more than a break.

You gave them belonging.

You reminded them they are not alone.

So many words of thanks were spoken. And even more were felt in the silent smiles, the soft exhale of relief, and the joy in children’s eyes.

Because sometimes, the most powerful gift is simply a day to rest.
