Message from our President:
With a little delay (I needed a moment to recover....) I would like to inform you that I cycled around Lake Geneva last Saturday. My ‘’180 km for 180 smiles’’ challenge was completed in 9 hours and 10 minutes.
First of all, I would like to thank you for supporting me, cheering me on and believing in me - you have no idea how much you helped me!
I am also extremely grateful for all donations that will help thehashtag#BringBackSmilesprogramme to continue – you are fantastic! Frankly if not the cause and the thought that I’m doing it to help children this challenge would be so much tougher.
In preparation for this challange I cycled over 500 km ... Probably more than in my entire 50 years of life so far. I knew right from the start that this would be primarily a mental challange, that from a certain point on I would have to continue riding despite the pain and fatigue. I must admit that the power of mind is incredible.
I divided the whole route into stages which I consistently conquered. The last stages had special prizes defined and, for example, in Nyon I sat on a bench for just few minutes to catch the breath and calm the mind while watching the lake, and in Coppet I prized myself with a raspberry tart.
